AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Swin Cash scored 20 points to help Detroit improve to 3-0. Katie Smith added 15 points, and Plenette Pierson had 14 for the defending WNBA champion Shock, who overcame 24 turnovers. Delisha Milton-Jones led the Mystics (0-4) with 18 points, and Alana Beard had 16. Monique Currie, acquired this week from Chicago, had five points in her first game with Washington. Both teams turned the ball over 11 times in the first half, but the Shock had 17 assists to just five for Washington. Shannon Johnson’s jumper early in the second quarter was Detroit’s only unassisted basket of the half. Detroit led 45-36 at the half, and by as many as 16 in the third quarter.
