WNBA ROUNDUP Tuesday’s game

Fever 89, Lynx 75

MINNEAPOLIS — Tamika Catchings scored 21 points as Indiana pulled away in the second half for the Fever’s third consecutive 3-0 start. Seimone Augustus scored 23 points to lead the Lynx, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Minnesota’s defensive lapses and the team fell to a league-worst 0-5. For the Lynx, it’s the worst start in franchise history. Indiana built a double-digit lead in the opening quarter only to have the Lynx come back to tie with a 12-1 run early in the second. Minnesota took its first lead with less than a minute to play in the half, and looked to have the advantage at the break, before the Fever scored six points in the final 14.4 seconds of the second quarter to lead 40-37 at halftime. The Fever, who have scored 80 or more in three consecutive games for the first time in franchise history, got 17 points from Tamika Whitmore and led by as many as 18 in the late stages of the game. Rookie Lindsey Harding had a season-best 17 points for the Lynx.
