Rondinelli 12, Mahoning Valley Panthers 2 — Nick Vazquez went 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs and Kyle Vaclav went 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs to lead Rondinelli. Bo Slemons pitched four innings for the win. Collin Bowser had two hits for the Panthers.
Wharmby Sports 7, Rizer Group 6 — Mike Tomko and Cory Augustine each had two hits for Wharmby Sports. Reese Swatsworth added a triple for Wharmby’s. Eric French had two hits including, a triple, for Rizer. John Wilshusen also hit a triple.

BABE RUTH (13s)

Rondinelli 15, Valley Extreme 2 — James Coates had three hits, including a triple and a double, to lead Rondinelli. Franky Rondinelli and Brad Smith each had two hits.

Mill Creek Wharmby’s 20, Canfield Blue 6 — Tom Pulice had three hits, including a grand slam, and scored five runs. Nick Poore had a solo homer and three RBIs. Steve Bielepeldand Tom Robbins (the winning pitcher) had two hits each. Spencer Saylor doubled for Canfield.

TOURNAMENTS

Canfield Lariccia’s Italian Market — won the Great Lakes Baseball League Memorial Weekend Tournament in Mentor. Canfield, comprised of all 13-year-olds, defeated Ohio Stars, 3-2, in the championship game. Tylor Rhoads’ double scored Kyle Brown with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Brown walked and stole second to set up Rhoads’ winning hit. Anthony Ross hit a triple for Canfield. Benny Angelo and Michael Hughes combined on a four-hitter, striking out eight. Canfield is 20-1 this season.
