Man dies after cycle accident

EAST PALESTINE — William Figley, 43, of East Palestine, died Friday from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident about 7 a.m.

Police said he was riding a motorcycle north in the 700 block of North Market Street when it collided with a car that was attempting to enter the road from a private drive. Figley was thrown from his motorcycle.

East Palestine EMS took him to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he died later.

The driver of the car was not injured. Police said the accident is under investigation.
