Burger King electrical fire


YOUNGSTOWN — The Burger King Restaurant, 3525 Mahoning Ave., is closed after it suffered about $5,000 in damage from an electrical fire.

The Youngstown Fire Department said that the restaurant had been having electrical surges. Papers inside an alarm box in the restaurant office caught fire at 1:51 p.m. Friday.

The fire department said the damage was mostly confined to the office. The restaurant will be closed until the damage is repaired and the health department inspects it.
