GIRARD

May 21

Criminal damaging: A woman in the 800 block of Highland Avenue found a dent in the side of her home, and that an outside spigot had been knocked off.

Theft: A Church Hill Road woman reported the theft of a $400 money order from her purse.

May 22

Weapon: Police issued summonses to two Girard men, 19 and 31, after responding to an argument at Dairy Queen, 201 S. State St. One of the men also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after officers saw he had a steak knife in his pocket.

Domestic violence: Authorities arrested a 24-year-old Girard man on a domestic-violence charge after his mother alleged he tossed a fire extinguisher and struck her in the left leg during an argument.

Vandalism: A woman discovered someone spray-painted a side of her residence in the 300 block of Taylor Avenue.

LIBERTY

May 22

Drugs: Officers arrested a 33-year-old Hubbard man at Denny's Restaurant, 4020 Belmont Ave., on charges of drug abuse (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia after saying they found a small bag of suspected marijuana and a pipe to smoke it with.

Theft: A Sampson Road woman accused a North Jackson man, 35, of taking a gold wedding band and a necklace from a bedroom. The loss came to about $1,000.

Theft: A motorist left a BP station, 2703 Belmont Ave., without paying for $66 worth of gasoline.

HUBBARD

May 17

Identity theft: A Hubbard woman found out someone used her identity at Rite Aid Pharmacy, 147 W. Liberty St.

May 18

Fraud: A Jacobs Road woman accused her former husband of using her medical insurance card without permission and running up a $21,732 bill.

Theft: A man reported items stolen from his residence in the 200 block of Clingan Street.

May 20

Theft: A driver left a Shell True North station, 204 W. Liberty St., without paying for gasoline.

May 22

Criminal mischief: A woman in the 800 block of South Main Street found a broken window on her vehicle.

Possible theft: Police detained a juvenile, no information given, after a worker with Pitstop Auto Care, 350 N. Main St., reported seeing a suspicious person getting into vehicles at the business.

Drugs: A man and his son told police a male had two bags of suspected marijuana while at a park in the 1600 block of Jones Street.

Drugs: Someone reported a woman was in possession of suspected crack cocaine as well as a suspected crack pipe while on Buena Vista Drive.
