These business awards have been announced recently:

YOUNGSTOWN — Turning Technologies of Youngstown received a 2007 Manny Award in the category of New Product Development/Innovation. Turning Technologies develops audience response software and hardware. The Manny Awards are presented by Inside Business magazine and the Ohio Manufacturer’s Association.

YOUNGSTOWN — The Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals said that Joan Giba has been recertified with the certified professional secretary designation, while Christine Simone and Barbara Sofranec have been recertified with the certified professional secretary and certified administrative professionals designation. Giba works at International Towers. Simone works at Melmor Associates, while Sofranec is employed by the Ohio attorney general’s office.

WARREN — Todd Hall of House Medic Handyman Service was recognized with

the Service Top Ten Total Sales 2006 award at the House Medic Handyman

Service annual conference in Cincinnati. Hall is a franchisee of the company, which provides a variety of home repair and handyman services.
