YPD taking applications for chaplains

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Police Department is accepting applications for police chaplains.

The following is needed for those interested: copy of minister’s license or ordination; letter of approval/endorsement from home church or ecclesiastical organization; at least two character references; and background check with fingerprint card, which can be done at YPD for $15 and the card will be sent to the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.

Training will be made available. The next training session is Sept. 6 through 27, every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applicants should contact Detective Sgt. Delphine Baldwin Casey at the planning and training division at (330) 743-2021.
