New Hermitage superintendent begins July 1


HERMITAGE, Pa. — Hermitage resident Kathleen Nogay was appointed by the school board members to serve as the new school district superintendent beginning July 1.

Nogay is a former teacher of biology, chemistry and astronomy for Sebring Local Schools. She earned her master’s degree in education at Youngstown State University before serving as an assistant principal at Hubbard Schools and as a high school principal in Hermitage. She has since earned her doctorate in education, also from YSU.

Her contract, which includes a starting salary of $106,000 per year, is valid for three years.
