Two charged in painkiller sale

HUBBARD – Police say they expect to file drug charges against additional people after charging two with peddling a painkiller.

Kimberly Kale, 35, of 963 Woodland Ave., has been released from the Trumbull County Jail after being charged with possession of a dangerous drug   – Vicodin. Jonathan Durig, 32, of John White Road, Hubbard Township, will be arraigned Tuesday5/22 in Girard Municipal Court on a charge of complicity to possession of dangerous drugs.

City Patrol Officer Chris Moffitt said Friday that the two were charged after a three-week investigation that continues. It started because neighbors complained to police of heavy vehicle traffic at Kale’s residence that led to a surveillance of her home.   City police, Moffitt said, are being assisted by Hubbard Township police and the drug unit of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force.
