Pavlik Live | Kelly makes weight

— Youngstown middleweight Kelly Pavlik weighed in at 159 and 8/10ths to make weight for Saturday's fight against Edison Miranda at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn. Miranda, however, weighed 160.2 and, as of 3 p.m. EST, he had two hours to drop the final two-tenths. (Considering how much money is involved, I'm sure they'd resort to chopping off fingers than miss weight.)

Saturday's main event features WBC champion Jermain Taylor, who also weighed in at 159.8. His opponent, Cory Spinks, weighed 161 pounds, which is a concern. At this point, most fighters have spent the previous 24 hours doing everything they can to cut weight. (Pavlik, for instance, had barely had water and looked visibly drained -- and visibly relieved -- after making weight on Friday afternoon.)

About 300 people showed up for the weigh-in, which was held in the FedEx Forum lobby. Don King was one of them, drawing a crowd.

Pavlik's fight is scheduled to start about 10:15 p.m. EST on Saturday and will be televised by HBO.
