Hubbard posts 5-3 win over Champion

CHAMPION -- Gabby Flynn (7-4) walked eight and struck out three during a three-hitter to lead Hubbard High over Champion, 5-3, in a Trumbull Athletic Conference softball game Wednesday.
Meagan Schultz had three hits, including a double, while Flynn and Cathy Jugenheimer had two hits apiece for Hubbard (16-11, 10-4 TAC).
Sophomore Ashley Rable had a double, while senior Jackie Knepp and Katie Saluga, a sophomore, had singles for Champion (10-11, 5-9).
