WARREN — Parents of a 10-year-old girl accused of faking her abduction were arraigned Thursday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on two felonies and a misdemeanor charge.
John R. Brown, 53, and Lora L. Maravia, 34, both of Hadley Avenue, Liberty, pleaded innocent and were released from Trumbull County Jail Wednesday after posting bond of $25,000, set by Judge John M. Stuard. They were indicted by a county grand jury on charges of inducing panic and tampering with evidence, felonies, and child endangering, a misdemeanor.
Liberty police said Brown reported the girl missing, which began a four-hour search by Liberty and Youngstown police. The girl was found inside McDonald’s on Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown later that day.
