Paris is distraught,says her psychiatrist
LOS ANGELES -- Paris Hilton is "emotionally distraught and traumatized" over her 45-day jail sentence and isn't capable of testifying in a civil lawsuit against her, the socialite-reality TV star's psychiatrist said.
Dr. Charles Sophy has been seeing Hilton, 26, for the past eight months and has talked with her several times since her May 4 hearing for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case, according to court papers.
Sophy said Hilton needs time to recover from the shock of receiving jail time before testifying in a civil case brought against her by actress and diamond heiress Zeta Graff.
Graff filed a 10 million lawsuit against Hilton in 2005, claiming the reality TV star spread "vicious lies" about her. Hilton has denied that she was behind a report alleging Graff once tried to grab a necklace worth 4 million from her throat.
Superior Court Judge Linda K. Lefkowitz postponed the trial to August. It had been scheduled to begin this month.

She's followed, in order, by Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Biel, Ali Larter, Eva Mendes, Rihanna, Eva Longoria, Fergie, Sienna Miller, Angelina Jolie, Beyonc & eacute; Knowles and Katherine Heigl.
... But she is getting sued
NEW YORK -- Lindsay Lohan and her mother have been sued by a freelance photographer who claims the actress hit him with a car in the West Village.
Photographer Giovanni Arnold claims he "sustained severe and permanent personal injuries" when he was struck by the BMW on March 13 on Ninth Avenue between 12th and 13th streets.
Arnold suffered injuries to both knees and was "still getting medical treatment," his lawyer, Marc Mauser, said Tuesday. He said Arnold was seeking unspecified monetary damages "for his pain and suffering and his lost wages."
Arnold was reportedly among several photographers trailing the 20-year-old actress from a nightclub to the Hotel Gansevort in SoHo.
Stallone pleads guilty
SYDNEY, Australia -- Actor Sylvester Stallone pleaded guilty Tuesday to bringing vials of restricted muscle-building hormones into Australia and faces sentencing next week.
Lawyers for the 60-year-old star of the "Rocky" and "Rambo" movies entered the guilty pleas on behalf of the actor, who did not appear before Sydney's Downing Center Local Court.
"I made a terrible mistake, not because I was attempting to deceive anyone but I was simply ignorant to your official rules," Stallone said in a letter to Sydney's Local Court.
Stallone was accused of bringing banned substances into Australia after a customs search of his luggage during a Feb. 16 visit to Sydney revealed 48 vials of the human growth hormone product, Jintropin.
Pumpkins are back
ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- The Smashing Pumpkins have announced they will give nine concerts in Asheville and eight in San Francisco this summer in their first extended-stay performances in more than a decade.
The band will perform at the Orange Peel in Asheville between June 23 and July 5, and at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco between July 22 and Aug. 1, the group announced Monday.
Leaders in the early 1990s alternative rock revolution, the Smashing Pumpkins broke up in 2000 after winning two Grammy Awards and selling millions of albums. Band leader Billy Corgan announced about two years ago that he wanted the band to reunite.
The re-formed group, with Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin with others to be announced, will release "Zeitgeist" in July.
