FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will be selling potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide containers.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; and bread and butter, coffee or tea. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi and hot pirogi lunches beginning at 11 a.m. The cost for pirogi is $4.50 a dozen. Orders will be taken from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up by 2 p.m. Friday. A mini garage sale will be held in conjunction with the event.

Lord of Life Lutheran Church Youth Group will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield. Tickets are available at the door and are $6 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12. There will also be a Chinese auction.

Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. May 25 will be the last sale until September.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. The final pirogi sale for the season will be May 25.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $4 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 1 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will hold a chicken barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include baked potato, applesauce, green beans, pie and beverage. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children. Carryouts will be available.

Canfield IOOF 155 and Park View Rebekah 719 lodges, 111 S. Broad St., Canfield, will hold a ham dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12. Those 5 and under eat free. Takeouts will be available.

SUNDAY

Sacred Heart of Jesus Church will hold a Swiss steak dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the hall, 702 Cameron Ave., Youngstown. The menu features vegetables, mashed potatoes, gravy, tossed salad, coffee or tea, and desserts. The cost is $7.50 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. St. Dominic Church will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center, 3403 Southern Blvd., Youngstown. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 13 to 17. Those 12 and under eat free. Carryouts will be available.

St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard, will serve a roast beef dinner from noon to 3 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Menu includes mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, roll, coffee or punch, and dessert. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under.

Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will host a dinner of roast pork, potatoes, kraut, applesauce, rolls, coffee or tea, and dessert from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The price is $7.50, and takeouts will be available. For more information, call (330) 792-7973.

VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell such Ukrainian foods as kolbasi and kraut sandwiches, haluski, pirogi and holubchi (stuffed cabbage) in the church social hall beginning at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday during the annual festival.

UPCOMING

St. Mary and St. Joseph churches will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from noon to 7 p.m. June 2 at the St. Mary Social Hall, 709 Milton Blvd., Newton Falls. Dinners are: pasta and meatballs, $7; chicken parmigiana with side of pasta, $9; pasta with a meatball for children 6 to 11, $3; and free for those 5 and under. Meals will include salad, Italian bread, coffee or punch, and dessert. Carryouts will be available. Tickets ordered in advance at (330) 872-5742 are $6 for pasta, and $8 for chicken parmigiana.
