Coach Tressel speaking at United Way event

BOARDMAN — Jim Tressel, Ohio State University head football coach, is the keynote speaker for the Youngstown/Mahoning Valley United Way 2007 “Champions Among Us” dinner and silent auction.

The event is on Tuesday at Mr. Anthony’s on South Avenue, beginning at 6 p.m. In addition to the presentation by Tressel, former head coach at Youngstown State University, there will be silent and live auctions featuring autographed sports memorabilia, tickets, and gift certificates.

“We are thrilled to have Coach Tressel as our special guest,” said Doug Sweeney, United Way 2007 Campaign chairman. “Community response has been overwhelming.” A limited number of tickets are available. They can be purchased for $50 each by calling the United Way office at (330) 746-8494ok. Reservations are required. Tickets will not be available at the door.
