2 arrested on South Side
YOUNGSTOWN -- Two arrests were made and a stolen gun confiscated on the South Side when police checked a report of gunfire in the area. Albert L. Coffer, 18, of Glenwood Avenue was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property. Randolph M. Jeter, 18, of Ferndale Avenue was charged with driving under suspension and released on the scene. Police approached the Chevrolet Blazer Jeter was driving when he failed to signal a turn about 1:30 a.m. Monday. Witnesses told police that the vehicle was not the vehicle involved in the gunfire on Ferndale. The pistol found under Coffer's passenger seat had been taken in a burglary, police said.
