A calendar of activities to which the public is invited is published every Monday. Please submit information to the Society Department by 5 p.m. Thursday.

CARD/BINGO PARTIES

Lake Milton Women’s League will sponsor a card party from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine Social Hall, Grandview Road. Tickets are $7 and include lunch and dessert. They can be bought from any member or by calling (330) 792-0220, (330) 654-4093, or (330) 654-5268. There will also be a 50-50 raffle and Chinese auction. The club is also selling RADA cutlery, decks of cards with the Lake Milton logo and floating key chains for boaters.

FUNDRAISERS

Immaculate Conception Church, 811 Oak St., will hold a motorcycle blessing fundraiser Sunday. Proceeds will help pay the medical expenses of a bone marrow transplant for Angello Astorga. The event will begin with a 10 a.m. Mass and the blessing at 11:30. A brunch will be served after the ceremony in the school cafeteria. The donation is $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

St. Joseph the Provider School, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will hold a blessing of the bikes and bike run May 31. Registration and staging will begin at 5 p.m. at the church parking lot and bikes will be blessed at 5:45. The first bike will go out immediately afterward and the last bike in will be at 7. The entry fee is $15 per bike and $5 per passenger. Participants will receive a food voucher and a beer tent will be on site. Proceeds will benefit the school.

SALES

Extreme Team of First Baptist Church, 59 Orchard Ave., Hubbard, will host a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Gold Wing Road Rider Association, Chapter I-2, will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7392 Tallmadge Road, Rootstown.

Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, will sponsor a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Austintown Wal-Mart. Proceeds will benefit a mission trip to El Salvador.

Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St., Columbiana, will hold a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call the church at (330) 482-2136.

Ohltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, Austintown, will hold a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available. For more information, call the church at (330) 652-6614.

St. Mary Sisterhood of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1025 N. Belle Vista, Youngstown, will sponsor a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Food will be available.

St. Patrick Church, men’s and women’s renewal teams, will sponsor a furniture-only benefit garage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the rectory garage, corner of Oak Hill Avenue and Cleveland. SPECIAL EVENTS

Congregation Rodef Sholom, 1119 Elm St., Youngstown, is holding a benefit raffle with a drawing scheduled for 7 p.m. June 21 during a wine-tasting event at Strouss Hall at the temple. Awarded will be a $10,000 prize; a $2,000 prize; and a $1,000 prize. The winner need not be present. The donation is $100 and entitles two people to attend the wine tasting and light deli supper. TOURS

Travel Bugs of Howland will sponsor three motor coach tours that are open to the public. On June 12, there will be a tour of Cleveland and a performance of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” at Cleveland Playhouse. The cost is $75. Participants will pay for their own lunch at the Warehouse on the waterfront. The June 19-20 tour will be to Niagara Falls and include three shows and three meals with free time for sightseeing or visiting the casino. The cost is $279. Planned for June 28 is a trip to Carousel Dinner Theater for the musical, “West Side Story,” costing $69.
