Canfield Township to decide on moratorium

CANFIELD — A year-long township moratorium on planned unit developments is almost over, and trustees will consider whether to extend or to lift it.

Trustees expect to talk about the issue at their next meeting at 7 p.m. June 4.

Trustees enacted the moratorium after residents battled with developers over PUDs, which are designed to save land by allowing more housing units to be built on less property.
