ATLANTA -- Slava Kozlov scored two goals, including the game-winner on the power play with 46.4 seconds remaining in overtime, to help Atlanta end a three-game losing streak. Nik Antropov's hooking penalty led to Atlanta's man advantage in OT and helped the Thrashers improve to 7-1 in their last eight home games. Kozlov was in the bottom of the left circle when he swept the puck past the right side of goaltender Andrew Raycroft for his 27th goal. Marian Hossa made it 1-0 early in the first with his 42nd goal for Atlanta, which increased its lead over idle second-place Tampa Bay to five points in the Southeast Division. Losers of the five straight on the road, the Maple Leafs still earned their 85th point, one better than the New York Islanders and Carolina Hurricanes.
Red Wings 2, Predators 1
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Pavel Datsyuk scored the go-ahead goal in the second period and had an assist, and Detroit beat Nashville to move back into a tie with the Predators atop the NHL. The Red Wings, Predators and idle Buffalo all have 105 points, but Detroit has a game in hand on Nashville with its four of final five games left against Central Division cellar dwellers Columbus and Chicago. Detroit came into the game having already won the season series with five victories in the first seven games. The Red Wings finished off the series finale in style with their fourth straight victory against Nashville and 13 of 16 possible points. Johan Franzen also scored for Detroit, and Todd Bertuzzi had two assists. David Legwand scored for Nashville.
Flames 4, Wild 2
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Jarome Iginla's first hat trick of the season lifted Calgary past Minnesota and brought the Flames closer to clinching the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Daymond Langkow also scored in a three-goal first period for Calgary, which scored twice in the first 80 seconds. Niklas Backstrom saw only two shots before Wild coach Jacques Lemaire replaced him with Josh Harding. Miikka Kiprusoff made 23 saves in Calgary's fifth straight victory. Brent Burns and Mark Parrish scored power-play goals for Minnesota.
Blues, 5, Oilers 2
ST. LOUIS -- Doug Weight had a goal and an assist, Barret Jackman added three assists, and St. Louis beat Edmonton to snap a three-game skid. The Blues, who will not be in the playoffs for the second year in a row, also got goals from Peter Sejna, Lee Stempniak, Jay McClement and Petr Cajanek, who scored an empty-netter. Ales Hemsky and Mathieu Roy scored for Edmonton, which is also out of the playoffs.
