Strip club bouncer's face is slashed

AUSTINTOWN — A strip club patron slashed a bouncer in the face with a knife as the bouncer was escorting the man out of the club, township police report.

Jason W. Chappell, 33, of Youngstown was slashed from the top of his ear to the underside of his chin at 11:13 p.m Thursday at Club 76 on Seventy Six Drive. He required stitches at St. Elizabeth Health Center, police said.

Police arrested Krandall D. Kirkland, 36, a truck driver who lives in Jacksonville, Fla. He is charged with felonious assault and is   to be arraigned in county court here at 1 p.m. Monday. He remains in the Mahoning County jail.

Police arrested Kirkland at the Super 8 Motel in Austintown after a witness to the attack followed him there as he fled the club, the report said.
