OTTAWA -- Zdeno Chara scored the game-winner against his former team to help the Boston Bruins snap a five-game losing streak. Patrice Bergeron and Petr Kalus also scored for Boston while Joey MacDonald stopped 32 shots for his third win of the year. Dany Heatley and Mike Fisher scored for Ottawa. Ray Emery had 14 saves.
Canadiens 6, Rangers 4
MONTREAL -- Alex Kovalev got his second straight two-goal game as Montreal scored five unanswered goals in the second period. Kovalev scored a pair of power-play goals to key the outburst which drove Rangers starter Henrik Lundqvist from the net midway through the second period after he allowed four goals within 7:30.
Panthers 5, Lightning 2
TAMPA, Fla. -- Olli Jokinen had a goal and two assists, and Ed Belfour stopped 27 shots to lead Florida. Jokinen has six goals and seven assists in his past five games.
Maple Leafs 6, Hurricanes 1
TORONTO -- Chad Kilger scored twice and the Toronto Maple Leafs helped their playoff chances with a rout of Carolina. Boyd Devereaux, Pavel Kubina, Yanic Perreault and Alexei Ponikarovsky also scored for the Maple Leafs, who tied Stanley Cup Champion Carolina in points (84).
Devils 3, Islanders 2
UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Zach Parise scored his career-high 30th goal, Martin Brodeur broke his New Jersey record with a 44th victory, and the Devils clinched their 10th straight playoff berth. Parise and Scott Gomez staked the Devils to a 2-0 lead and David Clarkson added a third-period, power-play goal against backup goalie Mike Dunham, who subbed for injured Rick DiPietro.
Predators 4, Oilers 3
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- J.P. Dumont scored a goal and had two assists, and the Nashville Predators held off Edmonton and moved out of a tie with Buffalo and Detroit at the top of the NHL. The Predators matched a franchise record with their 49th win for 105 points and went ahead of idle Buffalo and Detroit (103 points each). The Predators host Detroit on Thursday night, trying to stay ahead of the Red Wings in the Central Division. Jason Arnott, Shea Weber, Alexander Radulov scored, and Peter Forsberg added an assist for his fifth in three games for Nashville, which started a five-game homestand.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Alex Tanguay and Jarome Iginla scored in the shootout and Miika Kiprusoff was stellar in Flames victory.
