National City Corp. named Ted Schmidt its head of corporate banking for a five-county region encompassing Youngstown and the Ohio Valley. The Canfield resident had been senior vice president and regional manager of corporate banking.Schmidt will be taking on additional management duties and oversee the corporate banking needs of area businesses. He will be working with Garry Mrozek, area president for National City, and will continue to head the company's private client group.
