Warren man chargedin aggravated robbery
WARREN -- A 23-year-old Warren man who got a ride home from the victim he had just robbed has been charged with aggravated robbery, police said. James Coudriet, of Ridge Road, appeared Friday before municipal Judge Terry Ivanchak, who ordered him held in the Trumbull County Jail without bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing for 10:15 a.m. Friday. The victim told police that he was eating in his vehicle in the parking lot of the South Street McDonald's restaurant March 11 when approached by a man who wanted a ride home. When the victim said he didn't have room in his vehicle because it was filled with bags, the thief pulled a handgun, got into the vehicle, took 21 and was demanded a ride home, a police report says. When police went to his home, Coudriet wasn't there, but a description of him from his father matched the one the victim gave police, the report said.

YOUNGSTOWN -- A 20-year-old Lisbon man who drove his car off the road and then ran from police late Thursday night to avoid a traffic stop pleaded no contest Friday in municipal court to charges of driving under suspension, fleeing and eluding and no turn signal. Jeffrey L. Linam II, of Eagleton Road, was sentenced to 60 days in jail and fined 225, records show. Police pursued Linam after he failed to signal a turn onto South Avenue from Interstate 680. He drove to Knox Street, where he and his passenger jumped out and ran into a wooded area. The passenger got away, and Linam was caught after a foot pursuit.
