NEW WATERFORD — A couple face charges after a drug sting involving marijuana with a street value of more than $380,000. The Columbiana County Drug Task Force with the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force, federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents, and the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office conducted a controlled delivery of more than 150 pounds of marijuana on Friday to David Harmon, 25, and Audra Reed, 23, at their residence at 1350 1/2 Beard Road.

Harmon left about 2:15 p.m. driving a car with the marijuana, while Audra followed him. The two were stopped on state Route 14 west of Unity.

Harmon’s car rammed a drug task force vehicle and would have run over a task force agent if he had not jumped clear of the vehicle, authorities said.

Harmon then fled into Pennsylvania but was apprehended after a short foot chase in South Beaver Township. The 150 pounds of marijuana were recovered.

Reed offered no resistance. Both were charged with the felony possession of marijuana.

Harmon is also charged with felonious assault on a peace officer and   fleeing and eluding. Authorities then obtained a   search warrant through Columbiana County Judge Carol Robb for the couple’s home Agents said they found abut three more pounds of marijuana and marijuana growing equipment inside the house trailer.
