A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard and Liberty:
GIRARD
March 18
Truck theft: The owner of a 2006 Chevy Silverado reported his vehicle stolen at Nickles Bakery Inc., 420 N. State St.
Damage: A Cheyenne Drive man reported that someone drove through his front yard, damaging or destroying some trees and shrubs.
March 19
Identity fraud: After having his gas turned on, a man who moved to a home in the 400 block of East Prospect Street discovered someone had used his personal information to open an account. The result was an 896 past-due charge on a gas bill.
March 20
Criminal trespassing: Police picked up a 24-year-old Girard man they said was trespassing on private property near Interstate Processors Ltd., 1 Furnace Lane. A worker said the business was the victim of a theft, though no charges had been filed against the man at the time of the report.
LIBERTY
March 15
Auto theft: A 1995 Chevy Tahoe for sale was stolen from a lot near state Route 193 and East Montrose Street.
Assault: A 12-year-old pupil at W.S. Guy Middle School, 4115 Shady Road, had small cuts on his right temple and above his left arm after having been assaulted as he exited a school bus.
Arrest: Police arrested a 51-year-old woman, no information given, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. She was wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging her with probation violation; the woman also was wanted on three felony counts of theft and one count of attempted breaking and entering.
Vehicle theft: A Youngstown man reported the theft of his 1979 Honda motorcycle from a residence in the 2400 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
Theft: The faceplate to a compact-disc player was taken from a Jeep in the 2000 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
March 16
Aggravated menacing: A worker at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., reported that a 45-year-old Youngstown man threatened to & quot;shoot up & quot; the business when she told the man she could not cash a check he presented.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 45, was arrested on a warrant from Liberty charging him with forgery and receiving stolen property.
Arrest: The U.S. Marshals Service picked up a Youngstown woman, 28. She was wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging her with theft and forgery.
Theft: A Sampson Drive man accused his wife, 56, of taking his debit/credit card. The man told officers he found on his statement three transactions totaling 13,518.87
Attempted burglary: A man in the 10 block of Tuttle Drive discovered someone tried to gain entry to his home. Police found that a window had been pried.
March 17
Burglary: A Youngstown woman, 38, was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia after witnesses told police she forcibly entered an apartment in the 1300 block of West Montrose Street. The woman had a suspected crack pipe in her purse, authorities said.
Drugs: A traffic stop near Taco Bell, 3551 Belmont Ave., led to the arrest of a 29-year-old Cortland man on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers said they found two suspected marijuana cigarettes as well as a device for holding a marijuana cigarette. He also was wanted on a warrant from Warren.
Stolen property: Authorities found out someone used a stolen gas card at a BP station, 2703 Belmont Ave. The card belonged to a McDonald woman.
March 18
Criminal damaging: A 23-year-old West River, Md., man was accused of damaging a mattress and a shower curtain when he stayed at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave.
March 19
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 47, surrendered to police on a felony warrant charging her with theft. She was accused of taking a 5,000 engagement ring, a silver diamond ring and 200.
Breaking and entering: Officers found a smashed wooden frame near the front door to Murray's Sports Bar, 5718 Belmont Ave. The perpetrator pried open a juke box and removed an undisclosed amount of money.
Burglary: Someone smashed a rear kitchen window before entering a home in the 1900 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road. Nothing appeared to have been stolen, however.
Burglary: A resident in the 2900 block of Anderson-Morris Road noticed a broken rear window after someone broke in. The perpetrator stole jewelry and tried to take a DVD/videocassette recorder.
Recovered property: A 1995 Chevy Monte Carlo was returned after a Colonial Drive woman reported it stolen.
Identity theft: A Trails Edge Drive woman realized someone used her personal information to have the power turned on at a residence in the 3000 block of Hadley Avenue. The woman told police that a collection agency notified her of an unpaid bill.
March 20
Robbery: A man told police that four men, two with firearms, entered his Logan Arms Drive residence, demanding jewelry, then money. The victim handed over an envelope containing 5,000.
Theft: A 250 TV was stolen from a room at the Tallyho-tel.
Damage: Someone likely driving a truck did an estimated 1,750 worth of landscape, lawn and other damage to pieces of property in the 1500 and 1600 blocks of Motor Inn Drive.
Theft: A man in the 4500 block of Logan Way found out someone broke into his truck and took his driver's license and several credit cards.
