Ex-maintenance worker sentenced

WARREN -- A former Trumbull County maintenance worker was sentenced to five years of intensive supervised probation and restitution for stealing hundreds of dollars and other items from county office buildings.
Angela P. Pietrangeli, 23, of North Aspen Court, Howland, pleaded guilty in October 2006 in the Trumbull County Common Pleas courtroom of Judge John M. Stuard to theft in office. Judge Stuard imposed her sentence Thursday.
Sheriff's deputies reported that Pietrangeli admitted taking 367 from the cash drawer in the personal property tax department of the county auditor's office in the administration building on High Street. She also admitted taking items from desks in the nearby Stone Building.
Pietrangeli, who was hired into the county maintenance department in November 2005, resigned in August 2006, at about the time she admitted to the thefts.
As part of her sentence, Pietrangeli was ordered to complete a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and follow the program's recommendations for aftercare.
