AUSTINTOWN — Clients of a Mahoning County Mentally Retarded and Developmentally Disabled facility have been evacuated to buses as crews work to clean up about 100 gallons of diesel fuel that leaked from the facility’s emergency generator.
Austintown Fire Chief Andy Frost said Ohio Environmental Protection Agency officials are expected to arrive at the Javit Court building later this morning.
Although there isn’t believed to be a danger to the clients, they were removed from the building after complaining about the odor, the chief said.
