Dayton Dunbar shooting for title repeat after beating Cols. DeSales

The Wolverines won, 56-43, in a Div. II semifinal.
COLUMBUS (AP) -- Dayton Dunbar doesn't want to stop at one.
Norris Cole scored 24 points and 6-foot-10 sub Joshua Benson had three big baskets in a 15-0 fourth-quarter spurt to lead the defending champions back to the Division II state title game with a 56-43 victory over Columbus DeSales Thursday.
The Wolverines (23-4) return two starters from last year's team -- both had big games -- although they are without their top player from a year ago, Ohio State sixth-man Daequan Cook.
Cole, averaging 15.4 a game, was the driving force behind Dunbar. Benson stepped in and had 13 points -- hitting all but one of his seven shots from the field. Aaron Pogue, a 6-foot-8 senior who started on last year's team with Cole, added 13 rebounds and seven points.
Meet Upper Sandusky
The sixth-ranked Wolverines will go for a repeat when they play Upper Sandusky in Saturday afternoon's championship game.
Elijah Allen led DeSales (22-4) with 16 points and Dane Johnson added 10. Alex Kellogg, who was a second-team All-Ohio choice with teammate Allen, grabbed 10 rebounds and had nine points.
The Stallions, also back to the state's final four for the second year in a row, had a miserable shooting night. They hit just 30 percent of their shots from the field (18-of-60), only 4-of-21 3-pointers (19 percent) and converted just 3-of-12 free throws.
Dunbar appeared to have a clear upper hand throughout the first half before DeSales closed with a 6-0 run to trail 28-22 at halftime.
Over the last 5 1/2 minutes of the opening period, the Wolverines went on a 14-2 run to take a 19-8 lead after a quarter. They led by as many as 11 points in the second quarter before the Stallions' late surge, built around baskets by Johnson, Brandon Garrick and Allen.
Return run
The Stallions did the same thing near the end of the third quarter, running off eight points in a row to narrow the lead to 41-37.
With the Wolverines ahead 41-39 midway through the final quarter, Benson had two big baskets to get the game-deciding, 15-0 run going.
On an inbounds pass, he slipped past 7-foot-1 junior Sean Hobbs for a one-handed jam. After a DeSales miss, Pogue hit two free throws. The Stallions missed another shot and Benson then followed a Cole miss with a tip-in to make it 47-39.
Later, he took a pass from Keith Rakestraw on a fastbreak and had a two-handed dunk that stretched the lead to 51-39.
DeSales went scoreless from the 6:29 mark of the fourth quarter until Johnson banked in a 3-pointer with 51 seconds left. By then, it was far too late.
