Benefit dinner, raffle and auction planned


LEETONIA — American Legion Hall, 540 E. Main St., will be the setting March 31 for a benefit spaghetti dinner to help defray the medical expenses of John Paul McCoy, who is on the waiting list at Cleveland Clinic for a double lung transplant.

The menu includes the choice of meat or plain sauce or meatballs, salad, roll, beverage and dessert.

Tickets will be sold at the door and are $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.

There also will be a 50-50 raffle and a Chinese auction for such donated items as restaurant gift certificates, overnight stays at area hotels and lodges, a diamond necklace, a double-bowl kitchen sink, a 16-piece dinner service for four and a large replica of Dale Earnhart’s racing car.
