3 townships study joint water-sewer district

BRACEVILLE -- Trustees representing Southington, Braceville and Warren townships will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday to discuss forming a joint water and sewer district.
Atty. Mark Finamore will speak to the group during the work session at the Braceville Fire Station on Braceville-Robinson Road.
Robert Reader, a Southington trustee, said no decisions will be made at the meeting, but trustees want to explore all of their options.
Southington depends on wells and septic systems, as do most of Braceville and Warren townships.
Boardman-based Aqua Ohio Inc., a private water supplier, has asked the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for authority to supply water to Southington and Farmington townships and parts of Hubbard and Brookfield township.
The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District, a public water supplier, is attempting to block Aqua's expansion effort.
