A calendar of activities to which the public is invited is published every Monday. Please submit information to the Society Department by 5 p.m. Thursday.

ARTS AND CRAFT SHOWS

Canfield Lions Club will hold a craft and antique show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, Canfield. Free antique appraisals will be available from noon to 3 p.m., and there will be free admission, parking and raffle ticket for a gift basket. Hot food will be available, and there will be a Chinese auction and 50-50 raffle.

North Canton Lions Club will hold a juried craft and artisan show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Hoover High School, 525 Seventh St. N.E., North Canton. FUNDRAISERS

Lowellville Rod and Gun Club 501 c3 Charitable Trust will hold a Texas Hold ’Em poker tournament on March 31 at the club on Quarry Road, just off U.S. Route 224, Poland. Doors will open at 3 p.m. There will be a $100 entry fee with a $25 re-buy offered the first hour. There will also be a 70 percent payout. Food and beverages will be provided. NIGHTS AT THE RACES

Boardman Mat Club, the booster club for Boardman High School wrestling, will host a night at the races Saturday at the Operating Engineers Hall, 291 McClurg Road, Boardman. Admission is $5 for the adult-only event and will include food and beverage. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and races begin at 7. There will be a Chinese auction and a 50-50 drawing. Girard Knights of Columbus and Auxiliary will sponsor a night at the races April 21 at the K. of C. Hall, 122 S. State St., Girard. Free food will be served at 7 p.m., and races will begin at 7:30. Participants may purchase a horse for $10 from any K. of C. member or by calling (330) 545-8092. The owner of the winning horse will receive $25. There will be a cover charge of $2 for anyone who does not purchase a horse.

St. Matthias Church will sponsor a night at the races/Las Vegas night Saturday at the Father Snock Center, 2800 Shady Run Road, Youngstown. Admission is free, doors open at 6 p.m. and races start at 7. Pizza, stuffed cabbage, haluski and hot sausage sandwiches will be sold. Only those 21 and over will be admitted.

SALES

Braceville United Methodist Church Women will hold a rummage sale Thursday and Friday at the church, 577 Park Road S.W., Newton Falls. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday with a light lunch and bake sale available, and 9 a.m. to noon Friday, also $1-a-bag day.

Women of New Springfield Church of God, 3649 E. Garfield Road, New Springfield, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday with lunch available and from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, also $1-a-bag day.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Roberta’s Gallery of Fine Arts, 8 S. Main St., Columbiana, will hold a Bag Lunch Lecture at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday. A program on “The Art of Using Herbs” will be presented by Rhonda Pahanish, part-owner of Primitive Gatherings in Columbiana.
