Youngstown city is increasing water rates effective Sunday because of an increased charge in the cost of treated bulk water it buys. Here is what an average Youngstown household that uses 5,236 gallons per month will be charged:
Current cost per month: $19.18.
Effective Sunday: $20.99.
Effective July 1, 2008: $23.20.
Effective July 1, 2009: $25.63.
The cost for Mahoning County residents
who use Youngstown water:
Current cost per month: $26.84.
Effective Sunday: $29.40.
Effective July 1, 2008: $32.48.
Effective July 1, 2009: $35.89.
