Here’s a time line of events this year in the sale of 50-year-old Quaker City Raceway.

Feb. 1: Owner Dan Swindell gets no bidders when he asks for a minimum of $1 million.

May 30: Swindell announces Mark Mazzant, of Ellwood City, Pa., has purchased the race track. Mazzant says all the paperwork is completed.

June 22-24: The Steel Valley Nationals bring in thousands of people to the city and the track.

June: 28: Mazzant announces the sale is off.
