GIRARD
June 21
Theft: A man reported a lawn mower was removed from his garage in the 20 block of West Second Street.
Identity fraud: A Louis Avenue woman reported that when applying for a credit card, she discovered a Reynoldsburg man was using her Social Security number.
Friday
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 600 block of Church Hill Road discovered her vehicle’s passenger-side door was scratched and that a windshield wiper was bent, resulting in about $500 of damage.
Drugs: A 21-year-old Girard man was arrested at Liberty Township Park on charges of drug abuse, disorderly conduct and driving under suspension. Two bags with a total of 12 grams of suspected marijuana were found, police said.
Drugs: While investigating two people who ran from police in the 200 block of South State Street, officers found near their vehicle a bag containing 12.6 grams of suspected marijuana. No arrests had been made at the time of the report, however.
Monday
Truck theft: Someone took a 1989 GMC truck for sale at Reliable Auto Sales, 1000 S. State St.
Tuesday
Fraud: A man told police he hired and paid more than $15,000 to what he thought was a reputable contractor to work on his Cheyenne Drive residence, but that the job was never completed.
LIBERTY
June 21
Burglary: A woman returned to her residence in the 3000 block of North Gate Road and discovered someone had broken in through a rear window. Ten to 15 compact discs, a CD player, six X-box games, a can of change, costume jewelry and numerous other items were stolen.
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of Warner Road reported her wallet stolen.
Friday
Criminal mischief: Someone damaged several mailboxes and stop signs on or near Arms Drive.
Theft: After being pulled over on Belmont Avenue, a 48-year-old Youngstown man was arrested when police discovered he was wanted on a theft charge from Mercer County, Pa.
Theft: Someone removed an $1,171 four-wheel vehicle from a James Lane residence.
Theft: A $50,000 brush chipper was stolen from a vacant lot near Tibbets-Wick and Shannon roads.
Burglary: A Kris Lane woman called police after someone entered her residence through an open window and stole $100 of frozen foods and six DVDs.
Aggravated menacing: An employee with Advance America Cash Advance, 3231 Belmont Ave., reported a caller threatened to blow up some of the workers.
Theft: A traffic stop on Parkwood Drive led to the arrest of a Girard man, 22, wanted on a warrant from Youngstown charging him with theft.
Burglary: Someone broke into a Louise Lane trailer through its rear door before taking several Sony PlayStation controls and 20 PlayStation games. The theft came to $800.
Arrest: While responding to a loud-music complaint in the 200 block of Euclid Avenue, officers arrested a 52-year-old Youngstown woman on a warrant charging her with criminal trespassing. The woman also faced a charge of resisting arrest when, police say, she struggled with them.
Drugs: A traffic stop on Interstate 80 led to a 28-year-old Cleveland man’s arrest on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The suspect admitted to police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol that he had a bag containing about eight grams of suspected marijuana as well as a device to smoke it with, authorities said.
Saturday
Burglary: A Craig Lane woman came home to find that a portable DVD player, 250 hypodermic syringes and jewelry were missing after someone broke in.
Criminal mischief: A worker at Liberty Fire Station No. 34, 5920 Belmont Ave., noticed someone poured flour and honey on a vehicle and covered part of it with plastic wrap.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 300 block of Anderson-Morris Road discovered two holes in his swimming pool’s walls.
Sunday
Theft: A Warren woman at Choice’s Niteclub, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, reported the theft of her purse and a camera/cell phone.
Criminal damaging: Someone caused about $1,600 of damage to a vehicle by scratching its driver’s and passenger’s sides at Choice’s Niteclub.
Monday
Weapons: After pulling over a car on state Route 193, officers took a 41-year-old Youngstown man into custody on two counts of carrying a concealed weapon and one felony count of receiving stolen property. A knife in a nylon sheath and a semiautomatic firearm stolen from the Pennsylvania State Police were recovered, authorities said.
Burglary: A man in the 3400 block of Fifth Avenue found that someone had entered his home through a rear door before taking a table, a ring and a chair.
HUBBARD
June 20
Arrest: Officers picked up a Hubbard woman in Youngstown who was wanted on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court to face one count of failing to file her income taxes.
June 21
Theft: A man reported a theft from a Center Street residence where a deceased relative lived.
Theft: Police arrested a Hubbard man on a theft charge after a shoplifting at Devine’s Shop ‘n’ Save, 529 N. Main St. Also, a woman was taken into custody on warrants charging her with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sunday
Theft: A Hubbard woman was accused of leaving a Shell True North station, 204 W. Liberty St., without paying for her gasoline.
