The Campbell Board of Education met Tuesday night at the high school and handled these matters:

Approved a resolution to enter into a three-year oil and gas lease agreement with D&L Energy Group of Youngstown for school-owned properties. Superintendent Thomas Robey said the company is particularly interested in two sites, one of about 70 acres at the elementary/middle school and another of about 30 acres at the high school.

Heard Treasurer Nora J. Montanez announced that the district will receive an additional $66,000 in state money each year, beginning with the fourth quarter of the 2006-07 school year, through fiscal year 2022. She said the money is triggered by the district’s half-mill permanent improvement levy, which generates about $65,000 a year, and by a state law which gives schools built under the Ohio School Facilities Commission additional money for building upkeep.
