Some recent hirings and promotions:

TECHNOLOGY

Youngstown Business Incubator has hired Julie Michael Smith as its chief development officer. Smith will be responsible for marketing, public relations, governmental affairs and financial development. She will also lead collaborative efforts with technology, education, business and community organizations in the Cleveland-Pittsburgh corridor. Previously, Smith was a governor’s regional representative for the Ohio Department of Development. The Boardman resident received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Youngstown State University.

SERVICE

InfoCision Management Corp. promoted one supervisor and hired four new program supervisors at its Austintown location.

Sherri Kroeck of Austintown has been promoted to call center supervisor in the political call center. She will be responsible for managing call center programs, training program supervisors and maintaining the general functions of the center.

Michael Slagle of Hubbard will work in the political call center. Gregory Gustavich of McDonald and Jason Exline of Greenville, Pa. will work in the nonprofit call center and Grace Mabiala of Youngstown will work in the religious fundraising call center. They are responsible for running telephone-marketing programs.

ACCOUNTING

Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic, a Canfield-based accounting firm, hired four employees. Rochelle Baer, Sara Stitt and Nicholas Fithian have been named team accountants, and Alicia Mansky was hired as administrative team assistant. Baer was graduated from Youngstown State University in May with a degree in business administration. She has 16 years of experience as a bank vice president and branch manager. Stitt was graduated from Clarion University in May with a degree in business administration. She has experience in the finance department of a transportation company. Fithian was graduated from Ohio University in June with a business administration degree. Mansky has 10 years of administrative experience in sales and medical offices.

Crowe Chizek and Co., an Illinois-based accounting firm, named Brian Hecker as a partner. Hecker is a 1997 graduate of Youngstown State University College of Business Administration.
