The school board also
accepted several donations

MINERAL RIDGE — The Weathersfield school board gave a first reading to a change in the grade scale for the high school, middle school and elementary school, to fall in line with computerized-based recording of grades being done by the Northeast Ohio Management Information Network, based in Champion.

The new scale versus the old scale is as follows:

U93 to 100, A, old; 93.6 to 100, new.

U84 to 92, B, old; 84.6 to 93.5, new.

U74 to 83, C, old; 74.6 to 84.5, new.

U64 to 73, D, old; 64.6 to 74.5 new.

U63 and below, F, old; 64.5 and below, new.

Board president Marilyn Besoui explained that the change is updating the district’s grading system. NEOMIN handles records by computer for many Mahoning Valley school districts.
