Sentencing delayed in explosives case

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

YOUNGSTOWN — A former Youngstown man charged with having a large supply of bomb-making materials in his home was scheduled for sentencing Tuesday, but spent the morning negotiating instead.

Randy Telshaw, 55, of Canfield, pleaded guilty May 21 to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals or substances to manufacture explosive devices, related to items such as 80-pound bags of the ammonium nitrate and a manual for making a bomb in his Ferndale Avenue home.

But Telshaw filed a motion a week ago through his attorney, Jeffrey Limbian, asking to withdraw the plea.
