Shot fired inside a car accidentally hits passenger


YOUNGSTOWN — One of three shots fired from inside a car accidentally struck a 15-year-old Coronado Avenue boy in his right knee as he rode in the front passenger seat, police said this morning.

The boy’s 18-year-old brother was driving at the time of the shooting, around 8:20 p.m. Sunday on the North Side, reports show. Police suspect the older teen was trying to shoot out the window and hit his brother in the knee. The victim was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
