Dinner, golf outing to raise scholarship funds

BOARDMAN — The Edward J. DeBartolo Memorial Scholarship Foundation will hold an annual dinner and auction Thursday and a golf outing Friday as fundraisers for scholarships.

The dinner and auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn and will feature such items as:

Super Bowl trip for two to Phoenix

Ohio State University/Youngstown State University football game — four tickets

Kelly Pavlik signed boxing gloves

Two season tickets to Notre Dame football games

49ers vs Browns, and 49ers vs Steelers tickets and pregame field passes

Ten-minute shopping spree at Nemenz Foodstore

Autographed Drew Gooden Cavs jersey.

The golf outing at Youngstown Country Cub will begin with brunch and registration at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9:30, with a dinner and awards program after golf.

Among the celebrities participating in the tournament will be Mike Nolan, Randy Cross, Simon Fraser, Frank Stams, Tom Rathman, Kelly Pavlik, Mike Zordich, Rudy Ruettiger, and Eddie Money. One celebrity will golf with each team.
