Yo-Mah-O Chapter Officers inducted


CANFIELD — Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals installed officers for the 2007-2008 term during a meeting held June 12 at A La Cart Catering.

Judy A. Cundik was installed as president during the ceremony conducted by Barb Kramer and Joyce Laska.

Seated as her associate officers were: Milissa Ferraro-Gahagan, vice president; Carol Reifler, secretary; Chris Bidwell, treasurer; Sharon Conway, assistant treasurer; and Kramer, parliamentarian.

A member of the chapter since 1974, Cundik has served two terms as president and has served as chairwoman of every chapter committee. She also served as Ohio Division parliamentary adviser in 2003, and as the LAN coordinator for the Northeast District. She received her certified professional secretary rating in 2000 and her certified administrative professional rating in 2002.

Cundik is a financial adjuster for FiservHealth and teaches medical coding part time in the adult education department at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center. She is a member of Nativity of Christ Russian Orthodox Church, where she serves as church president and sings in the choir.

The chapter also awarded $1,000 scholarships to Erika Powell and Rebekah Brown.

Powell, of Baltic, graduated from Garaway High School, where she was a member of the Spanish Club, the yearbook staff, choir, the spring musical and Interact. A member of the National Honor Society and the student council, she volunteers in the church nursery, at the Rotary pancake breakfast and for Operation Christmas Child, 4-H Girl Power and other activities. She will major in information technology for administrative professionals at Kent State University, Tuscarawas Campus.

Brown lives in Mineral Ridge and is a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, where she was a member of the marching band, served as statistician for cross country teams, was a two-year member of the ICL Honors Band, a member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club. She is majoring in business administration at Youngstown State University.
