Canfield, Boardman water customers under boil alert

Water will be shut off at 9 a.m. and restored at 3 p.m. Tuesday for some customers in Canfield and Boardman townships because of a water-pressure improvement project.

The following addresses will be affected:

On Tippecanoe Road, numbers 5411, 5417, 5491, 5503, and 5555; and on Tori Pines, 1455, 1457, 1459, 1461, 1456, 1458, 1460 and 1462.

The Youngstown Water Department recommends boiling water for drinking and cooking once it is restored. The water department will test the water and announce when it’s proved to be safe.
