Spider-Man artist comes to town

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. — Ron Frenz, the artist who introduced the new black Spider-Man costume to the world, will be signing autographs at New Dimension Comics, on Lawrence Avenue from 3 to 5 p.m. June 30.

To commemorate Frenz’s historic contribution to the Spider-Man legend, New Dimension Comics has commissioned him to draw a cover recreation of that issue, “Amazing Spider-Man” #252, using various Pittsburgh landmarks.

“I’m very excited to bring this important Spider-Man artist into Ellwood City to meet his fans. He did a great job recreating his introduction of the black costume into a custom print that we will offer at the event,” said Todd McDevitt, owner of New Dimension Comics.
