Former Pa. high school coach pleads guilty to sex charges

WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) — A former volunteer high school softball coach pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two teenage girls and providing alcohol to minors.

Prosecutors accused Justin Bedilion of engaging in sex acts with a 15-year-old girl who was on the softball team and a 13-year-old girl who worked out with the team.

The older girl testified in January that Bedilion drove her home from practice several times. During Super Bowl weekend in February 2006, the girl said she and Bedilion had sex at her home while her parents were in bed.

Prosecutors also accused Bedilion of engaging in oral sex with the younger girl.

Bedilion also supplied alcohol to the girls and to other teens in July and August, authorities said.

Bedilion was a volunteer assistant coach for the girls softball team at Canon-McMillan High School, police said. He also worked as a computer technician at the district, but was fired after officials learned of the charges.

Bedilion, 24, of Waynesburg, pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated indecent assault, statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and selling or furnishing alcohol to minors. He is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 1.
