Dave Sugar gets one hit and still beats Roth, 2-0

STRUTHERS — Dave Sugar Excavating managed just one hit, a fifth inning single by winning pitcher Justin Shaffer, but took advantage of four errors by Roth Brothers to score a 2-0 victory in the Class B League Wednesday.
Shaffer struck out 10 and did not walk a batter in the two-hit shutout as Sugar improved to 11-8.
Robert Goeke suffered the loss for Roth (3-16). He struck out seven and walked three. Pat Mulligan had a double for Roth.
Rondinelli 8, Wharmby Sports 7
Matt Katich’s sacrifice fly scored Cory Hitt with the winning run for Rondinelli (16-3).
Hitt started the winning rally with a leadoff double, his second hit of the game.
Cory Johnson, John Thomas, Mike Conglose, Ben Bechtol, and Mark Babyak had two hits each for Wharmby (8-11).

R&J (17-2) broke open a 5-4 game by scoring five runs in both the sixth and seventh innings.
Dan Kubala had three hits, while Xavier Godoy and Joe Iacobucci drove in four runs each. Seven R&J players had at least two hits.
Jarryd Summers had three hits to lead Action (7-12)

Josh Swepis and Jae Leeworthy had three hits each as part of a 15-hit Livi attack.
Brad Prejsnar pitched a complete game allowing just one earned run for Livi (10-9).
Dan Gallagher drove home both of the Express (2-17) runs with a double.
Simon Roofing 6, Astro Falcons 4
Simon Roofing scored two runs in each of the first three innings. Ross Revella drove home a pair of runs with a double and a single, while Ryan Grusecki went six-plus innings for the win. Roberto Morales came on in the seventh for the save for Simon (8-11).
Joe Koch had three hits, one a triple for Astro Falcons (13-6). Mark Lapikas and Shane Wagner added two hits each.

YOUNGSTOWN — Josh Conkey and Paul Kello combined on a two-hitter, and Eric Jones hit a triple to lead Roth Brothers over Tri-County, 10-0, in a Youngstown Class AA League game at Pemberton Park.
Adam Cox scored three runs and Jones tallied twice for Roth (12-0), while Joe Bettura had two RBIs.
Conkey struck out six in five innings, and Kello pitched a perfect inning.
Matt Kearney and Dan Monico singled for Tri-County and Tim Kearney struck out nine in five innings.

WARREN — Jeremy Albani went 3-for-3, including a three-run homer, and drove in four runs to lead CIP.
T.J. Trevis added a double and single, and three RBIs, while Jeremy Krol and Cliff Panezich both singled twice. Mike Swoboda pitched a complete game, fanning nine.
Manoli Pahoulis and Brian Daugherty had singles for the Knights.

Nate Daugherty tossed a two-hitter over six innings, and Mark Yartz had two hits and three RBIs for Reds.
One of Yartz’s hits was a double. Josh White and Mike Johnson both had a pair of singles.
Mike O’Neill and A.J. Pulice had singles for Express.
