HUBBARD

June 14

Assault: A male reported being assaulted at Jones Park on Jones Road.

Counterfeit: A phony $20 bill was passed at Barkley’s Tavern, 548 W. Liberty St.

Possible burglary: A Simler Street woman suspected someone might have tried to break into her residence.

Criminal mischief: A man in the 500 block of Caroline Avenue realized someone broke his car’s taillight and a window.

June 15

Damage: A man in the 100 block of Viola Avenue reported someone used a BB gun to shoot a window to his residence.

Criminal mischief: A Ruth Drive man told police someone used a knife to poke and flatten his 12-year-old son’s bicycle’s tire.

Theft: A worker for Dave’s Super Tire, 612 N. Main St., reported a customer failed to return with a check to pay for vehicular work that was performed.

June 16

Theft: Three men stole bottles of alcohol from a Speedway gas station, 806 W. Liberty St.

Attempted burglary: An East Park Avenue homeowner told police a woman in a pink dress tried to enter the victim’s residence.

Criminal mischief: Someone on a motorcycle damaged a yard in the 300 block of Elizabeth Street.

Domestic violence: Officers charged a 15-year-old Hubbard boy after his mother, of Hager Street, alleged the teen hit her.

June 17

Arrest: Police reported seeing two women walking on North Main Street wearing no pants, and they arrested one of the women on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

LIBERTY

June 14

Arrest: A vehicle registration check at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., revealed that a Warren man, 49, was wanted on a warrant from the county charging him with theft.

Breaking and entering: A Tuttle Drive woman found out someone entered her shed before removing a lawn mower, two children’s swimming pools and a child’s bicycle.

Identity theft: A Hadley Avenue woman suspected her daughter’s former boyfriend of using her identity to buy $634 worth of merchandise.

Criminal damaging: Someone damaged three chairs and a screen door at the Logan Swim Club, 3245 Logan Way.

Assault: A Youngstown woman told authorities her boyfriend, of Oakland Drive, choked and slammed her to the ground during an argument. The boyfriend said she attacked him.

June 15

Arrest: After stopping a vehicle on state Route 193 for missing a front license plate, police arrested a Girard man, no age given, on a warrant charging him with contempt of court.

Theft: A Campbell man, 40, was taken into custody at the Mahoning County Jail. He was wanted on three warrants from Liberty charging him with two counts of theft and one count of failing to appear for a violation-of-probation hearing.

Criminal damaging: A Mansell Court woman suspected a rock was used to break a window at her home.

June 16

Drug paraphernalia: A traffic stop on state Route 193 resulted in a 47-year-old Youngstown man’s arrest after police said they found a suspected crack pipe. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

June 18

Burglary: A Kris Drive woman discovered someone entered her residence through the front door, and that 15 items were missing, including five antique glasses.

Criminal damaging: A worker at USA Gas Mart, 2904 Belmont Ave., told police a Hubbard man, 48, became enraged and broke about seven wine bottles on a shelf. The man tried to return items for a refund but was refused, the employee reported.

Assaults: Police responded to a series of assaults at Belmont Pines Hospital, 615 Church Hill Road. A worker reported being lured to a room where two girls, 15 and 17, allegedly choked her in an attempt to get her keys, while another employee told officers a patient pushed her to the ground. Also, a female resident, 15, was accused of punching a patient in the face several times and of grabbing the neck of a second patient and trying to choke her.

Theft: A woman in the 1800 block of Oriel-Rogers Road reported four pieces of jewelry missing.

June 19

Theft: A man in the 100 block of Warner Road reported the theft of a wallet from his car.

Theft: A woman accused three people who helped her move from a Hadley Avenue residence of taking eight to 10 checks and using her debit card without permission.

June 20

Breaking and entering: An employee with Plaza Donuts, 3437 Belmont Ave., reported that a delivery truck driver found a broken drive-through window. Police discovered an office had been entered and ransacked, though nothing appeared to be missing.

GIRARD

June 18

Criminal damaging: Someone used a utility vehicle to strike a portion of fence near a field owned by the Girard Baseball Association, 2 N. Park Ave., and disabled the vehicle.

Fraud: A Campbell woman reported receiving a letter from a Girard business stating she owes $2,000 to pay off a lien and that she also has a $30,000 lien on her home, both of which she denies.

Breaking and entering: A woman told officers a home she owned in the 20 block of Hancock Street was entered and that several items were missing.

Theft: The driver of a dark blue Cadillac pumped $60.38 worth of gasoline at McQuaid’s Service Center, 307 S. State St., and left without paying.

Burglary: A woman returned to her North Davis Street residence to discover a bathroom screen had been pried off and a window was open. Nothing appeared to be missing, however.

June 19

Theft: A worker for Tobacco Plus, 706 N. State St., reported a package of Ohio Lottery tickets stolen.
