Mercer Road work begins next week


MERCER, Pa. — North and South Diamond streets and other streets around the Mercer County Courthouse will be paved next week, but no daytime traffic or parking disruption is expected for area.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials said the work will be done at night, beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday through 6 a.m. Monday, then continue on the same schedule through Friday morning.

In addition to North and South Diamond streets, paving will be done on Pitt Street, East and West Butler and Maple Streets. Traffic is expected to be maintained when roads are milled Monday and Tuesday nights, but the roads may be closed when the roads are paved Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
