Man robbed on the East Side

YOUNGSTOWN — A 29-year-old Verona Avenue man told police he was robbed at gunpoint as he walked near the intersection of Verona and Garland Avenue.   The victim said a man approached him around 8:15 p.m., pulled a handgun and demanded, “Gimme what ya got.”   The victim said he handed over $65 and the gunman fled.   The robber was described as white, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing around 190 pounds.   He had blond hair.
