Jacobs Road cleanup will be Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN – Bryn Mawr Block Watch group on the East Side will have a street cleanup Saturday, 8:30 a.m. until noon. Workers will meet on the corner of McGuffey and Jacobs Road and will be cleaning up Jacobs Road toward McKelvey Lake .

The block watch was created by residents   to keep their neighborhoods clean and safe. This cleanup is in conjunction with the Northeast Home Owners Association and Mahoning County’s Green Team.

Sheryl Moss, litter control coordinator for the homeowners association, said the clean up is open to any concerned citizen. The Green Team will be providing the gloves, trash bags, and a truck. “It is our way of developing pride in our city,” Moss said.
